# PloyHQ > Cheap app hosting built for AI agents. One API call makes an account, one deploys an app, > and every app gets an HTTPS URL. Prepaid credit, billed per second. RAM is about $3 per GB-month. Base URL: https://api.ployhq.dev Auth: `Authorization: Bearer ` Every error is JSON: `{"error": {"code", "message", "fix"}}`. The `fix` field says what to do next. ## Deploy in four calls 1. `POST /v1/accounts` with `{"email": "optional"}` returns `api_key`. Save it; it is shown once. 2. `POST /v1/credits` with `{"amount_usd": 20}` (the minimum) returns a checkout link for the human to pay once. 3. `POST /v1/apps` with `{"name": "my-app", "plan": "small", "source": {"git": "https://github.com/you/repo"}}` (or `"source": {"image": "nginx:1.27"}`). Returns the app with `url` and `status: provisioning`. 4. `GET /v1/apps/{id}` until `status` is `running`, then open `url`. ## Other endpoints - `GET /v1/plans` or `/pricing.json`: plans and prices, machine-readable - `GET /v1/account`: balance, spend per hour, hours of runway left - `GET /v1/apps`: list apps - `GET /v1/apps/{id}/logs`: recent log lines - `DELETE /v1/apps/{id}`: delete an app and stop billing for it - `/openapi.json`: full OpenAPI 3.1 spec ## Plans Two CPU tiers. Pass `"tier"` in POST /v1/apps; leave it out to get `standard`. | plan | RAM | standard (AVX2, default) | classic (no AVX2) | |--------|-------|--------------------------|-------------------| | nano | 512MB | $1.50/mo | $1.00/mo | | small | 1GB | $3/mo | $2/mo | | medium | 2GB | $6/mo | $4/mo | | large | 4GB | $11/mo | $7.50/mo | | xl | 8GB | $20/mo | $13.50/mo | Billing is per second while an app runs. Apps stop when credit reaches $0 and keep their disk. ## Good to know - `standard` runs on Intel Xeon E5-2697 v4 with AVX2: anything built for x86-64 works. Use it unless you know the app runs without AVX2. - `classic` runs on Intel Xeon E5-2680 v2: AVX but no AVX2. Use baseline builds of Bun and avoid AVX2-only Python wheels, or the app exits with "illegal instruction". - Outbound SMTP (port 25) is blocked. Use an email API. - New accounts (first 14 days, or until $40 of usage is billed) can run 2 apps at a time, can't use plan xl, and get half their plan's vCPUs for sustained load. `GET /v1/account` shows `limits`. - App names using brand, bank or login words (paypal, chase, microsoft, signin, wallet...) are refused. - No phishing, crypto mining, open proxies, spam or malware. Accounts that do are closed without refund. - MCP server: `python3 -m ployhq.mcp_server` with `PLOYHQ_API_KEY` set. Tools mirror the endpoints above.
